I'm a big fan of McAfee. You forget that you even have an antivirus running and it does a great job too. Personally, Ill stick to Mac products. I'm not saying that they are impenetrable but I haven't had a virus on my Mac laptop nor any security software installed since I bought it 3 years ago. Then again, if it is free, Ill take it. In my years of experience i have found software such as AVG, Kaspersky etc.
The best is always the company that has the largest knowledge base on Viruses, which happens to be both McAfee and Symantec, Which one people choose of the two in my opinion is totally a personal decision, they are both very effective Programs. I personally use Norton Internet Security , have done so for a while, i'm always comparing and testing Norton against other brands, and i have never come across a program that does a better job,..
Why don't i use McAfee, I Personally don't like the interface, that's the only reason. Frankly, I don't like McAfee. It has allowed five infections within a few months to enter my computer. I'm not sure about Norton, but you'll definitely want to look into protection of some sort for your Mac I didn't know Comcast virus protection was offered free to all of their users.
I actually have a Mac and it's advised that virus protection software isn't needed. But I think I might take a look at my options because if something's free then heck, why not use it? I had AVG a couple years ago, then i changed to Panda, and now i am using Avira, which works pretty good. I did not have a good experience with Norton.
